Quest Kayaks offers a variety of kayaking tours and rental options. We have Ocean Kayaks, one of the leading kayak manufacturers. Our rental department can handle all your rental needs and questions. They have experience with all the waterways that Delaware has to offer. Are reservations necessary? Strongly encouraged to save your day and time. We also like to make recommendations on trips that are most suitable for your experience level. What about cancellations? Strictly enforced! 24hr. notice is required for 100% refund. Full price is charged for less than 24hr. notice and no shows. Quest Kayak guides have the right to cancel or change location of trip if the weather, wind, or wave conditions are unfavorable.
What should I wear? Depending on time of year, weather and water temperatures. Plan on getting wet from waist down. Hat, swim trunks, bathing suit and flip flops or sandals (not mandatory), sunscreen and dry clothes for later are recommended.
What should I bring? Bring water, hat, fruit or snack, and sunscreen. DO NOT BRING anything you cannot afford to get wet.
How old do children have to be to go on a tour? We recommend children to be 10 and older for guided tours ad rentals depend on adult supervision. We have PFD’s for children 4 and older to adults.
What are PFD’s? Personal Flotation Devices. We have PFD’s for children 4 and older to adults.
Do I actually see dolphins on the Dolphin Tour? We have a high success rate for seeing dolphins but there are no guarantees. The best time of year is June-September.
Do you offer group rates? Yes. Call to discuss. We have accommodated groups from 1 to 45 plus kayakers at one time but have also made arrangements for up 100 thru a day.

Where do we meet for the tours? Meet at the Kayak Shack located on 514 East Savannah Rd. Lewes DE 19958.
Is kayaking difficult to do? Kayaking and SUP are relatively easy to do and can be a sport for all ages. It does take some coordination and physical strength. People who have trouble sitting for long durations, back pains or getting up off the floor may experience some difficulty while kayaking or getting in and out of the kayak. Please make us aware of any health conditions so we can best assist you.
